This is me Sabitri Maharjan, principal – CLE Secondary School, a premier secondary school located at Lalitpur, Nepal.
Ever since a young age, I wanted to be different and make a difference in my country and the community. Hence, I envisioned to be an educational institution as education is the most important aspect of making a difference in one’s life and making the community better. With the brand positioning as BE SKILLED, BE EMPLOYED, we established Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management more than a decade ago in 2010 to train and educate Nepalese youth in the Hospitality Industry. With our 1 year Australian Diploma in Culinary Arts and 4-year BHM Program in 2014, our start was humble and we have always been striving our best to provide a world-class education. Our Alumni network of 1500+ is spread around the world to this date.
In 2020 when the pandemic hit the world, Rather than staying put we believed in taking this as an opportunity to rethink how education could be more impactful henceforth we decided to upgrade our education system through our teaching and learning pedagogy, developing our infrastructure and providing more opportunity for our students to be prepared become leaders and entrepreneurs in their desired domains. And the year 2021 we founded Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship with additional management programs like BBA and MBA.
The more we delve deeper into the education we believe that for the betterment of Nepalese youth and the nation, seeping leadership and entrepreneurship into education prior to undergraduate studies was very crucial and with this strong belief in 2023 we were thrilled to announce the launch of CLE Secondary School, a specialized +2 institution dedicated to nurturing passionate young minds in the field of management and hospitality leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.
CLE Secondary school is definitely a cutting-edge educational institution designed exclusively for +2 students who are eager to explore the world of hospitality and business studies, our comprehensive curriculum is set to revolutionize education in Nepal. We provide a unique and comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, empowering students to become confident and capable leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators in their chosen career paths.
My aim for the next 5 years is to make CLE and ACA one of the most preferred colleges to study for Nepalese & foreign students. I believe Nepal can be the next education hub for many.
Receiving the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2022 award and being recognized internationally makes me feel that I have taken a leap toward my vision.
